We are grateful that the New York Times found and reported on our research regarding the TB dosing guidelines in patients with living with HIV, and the fact that our findings show that the dosage guidelines may indeed be too low. As part of the North-South Cooperation, researchers at UZH and Makerere University in Uganda are working together in the search for better means of treating diseases such as tuberculosis. Those involved will present their collaborative work at a symposium in Zurich on 24/25 August. To prepare for this event, a team traveled to the Ugandan capital of Kampala. With them was journalist Ruedi Küng, who described his impressions in the following report for UZH News.
