In addition to the recently completed SOUTH study (see also “past projects”) we are currently enrolling TB/HIV co-infected adults into this study in which serum concentrations of tuberculosis medication are measured at 8 time points within 24 hours of ingestion.

The new time points will enable us to clearly define the area under the concentration curve over 6 hours (AUC0-6h) in our population of HIV/TB co-infected patients. The study is taking place in the integrated TB clinic of IDI, and all pharmacokinetic measurements are done on-site at the translational laboratory.
