In addition to the recently completed SOUTH study (see also “past projects”), tuberculosis/HIV co-infected adults were prospectively enrolled into this study in which serum concentrations of anti-tuberculosis medication were measured at 8 time points within 24 hours of ingestion. Data cleaning and analysis is underway.

We hope this study will enable us to clearly define the area under the concentration curve over 6 hours (AUC0-6h) in our population of co-infected patients. The study took place in the integrated tuberculosis clinic of the infectious diseases institute, and all pharmacokinetic measurements were done on-site at the translational laboratory.
